Country style oak veranda

A country style veranda is all about heavy timber trusses, gently curved braces and often a pitched roof. We make it to measure in oak or Douglas fir with mortise and tenon, half-lap and dovetail joints, with no screws in the frame. For the true country look, most customers choose oak.

Frequently asked questions

Can a country veranda have a flat roof?

Yes, with an overhang it still looks the part. See flat roof veranda.

No. Untreated oak turns silver grey, which suits the style. See treating oak.
