Why not standard 6 x 6 ft fence panels?

Panels lock you into a fixed rhythm: a post and a seam every 1.8 metres, and an awkward cut panel at the end. Our teak fencing is built from loose slats with a tongue and groove on the ends. The slats click together lengthways and do not have to finish on a post, so a run of exactly 7.35 m or an L shape of 4.2 by 6.8 m works without a short panel anywhere.

Which height?

One side or both sides

As standard the slats go on one side of the posts: you see timber, your neighbour sees posts. With slats on both sides the fence looks finished from either side and leaves a cavity for an EPDM membrane. If quiet and full privacy matter most, read on at teak privacy fencing.

How to order bespoke teak fencing

1. Measure the run along your boundary or patio. A corner counts as two runs.
2. Choose the slat width: 50 mm, 70 mm or 90 mm. The difference is shown on teak slatted fencing.
3. Enter it all in the fence calculator: length, height, one or both sides and a gate if you need one. You see the total with posts, clips and screws straight away.

Bespoke teak garden gate

A made to measure fence sometimes needs a gate that is not standard: lower, wider or a pair for a drive. The bespoke teak garden gate is built on a black steel frame with the same teak slats as the fence, and quoted to your sizes. Standard gates with 50, 70 or 90 mm slats are on teak garden gates.
