In short: teak fencing stands on Azobé posts of 60 x 60 mm. A gate hangs on a heavier gate post. An EPDM membrane can go behind the slats, and oil keeps teak golden. Order through the fence calculator and the posts, clips and screws are already counted in.

What is already in the kit?

Order teak fencing by the metre and you get the teak slats, the Azobé posts, black coated stainless steel fixing clips and the screws. You do not need to source anything separately. The parts below are only for an extension, a membrane or maintenance.

Why Azobé posts under teak?

The teak slats sit clear of the ground. The posts go a third of their length into the soil and take the hardest wear, so our teak slats go on Azobé, the same posts as our Ipe fencing. How to set them is on how to install teak fencing.

Oil for teak

Teak turns silver grey outdoors. To keep the golden tone, oil it. Think of sun cream: the timber repels water and dirt and stays more stable. How often and how is on teak fence care.

Teak fencing accessories FAQs

Do clips and screws come with teak fencing?

Yes, teak fencing by the metre includes posts, clips and screws.

Does a teak gate need a heavier post?

Yes. A gate hangs on a 140 x 140 mm gate post. For a symmetrical look, choose two, one each side.

Can I use my existing posts?

If they are straight, firm and about 1 m apart, often yes. Send a photo on WhatsApp to +49 2821 7483051.

Does teak have to be oiled?

No. Without oil it turns silver grey. Oil is for anyone who wants to keep the golden tone.
