Hardwood gate posts
The hardwood Ipe beam or post is the stable basis for building any construction. For example, it can be used to build a decking, fence, roofing or for scaffolding. Ipe hardwood has a long lifespan of 25+ years, and is very suitable for fences.
Installation
Pre-drilling with a countersink is necessary for these beams. You screw the screw through the hardwood beam. The head of the screw is on the surface of the beam. Please note that only one type of screw is suitable for this wood. We have the right type of screws that have enough power to keep the hardwood beam firmly in place.
The right screws for mounting
We recommend using our strong and special hardwood screws. In addition, you should choose a metal-coloured or black-coated screw. A dark black screw is less conspicuous and gives a more beautiful end result.
Our screws are tested to be strong enough to hold the hardwood in place. Certainly not all types of screws are strong enough to withstand these forces. That is why we advise you to buy our screws with them, so you have a GUARANTEE of success. Our screws will not rust or oxidise.
