Place the joists 40 centimetres apart. A robust base made of solid hardwood. These beams have the same expansion coefficient as the decking boards, ensuring an extremely stable structure. Attach the foundation posts to the joists to anchor them to the ground.

For stable results, we recommend placing the posts every 40 to 50 cm along the joists. Drive the posts at least two-thirds into the solid ground layer and screw them to the joists. This creates a rigid structure that cannot “dance” or twist. You can then mount the decking on top of this.

Our premium root barrier fabric forms an impenetrable barrier against unwanted plant growth, while its fine mesh structure ensures excellent water permeability. This prevents puddles from forming under your decking, allowing you to enjoy a sleek, maintenance-free terrace.

For an extra luxurious effect, install the side boards with a small overhang relative to the decking. It is best to saw off the tongue and groove on the side boards. Pre-drill the boards to prevent splitting. Want a modern “blind look”? Then countersink the screws into the boards.

Protection & Colour Retention: Premium Hardwood Oil

Starter kit (3 cans 0.9L) 1 can of deckoil. (0,9L) No Oil.

Wood oil protects the wood against drying out and warping. Unoiled wood is not protected against weather influences, which can cause the wood to dry out and deform.

Oil all four sides of the boards during assembly, using 1 tin per 5 m². For optimal results and to maintain the warranty: Coverage: 1 tin (0.9 l) = 10 m² for one side. For complete protection (4 sides), you will need 2 tins per 10 m². Time indication: applying with a spray bottle takes approx. 20-25 minutes per tin/10 m². The first 2 years are crucial; repeat the oiling several times a year to completely prevent drying out and warping.
