Summer house with veranda, made to measure

A summer house with veranda has a covered strip along the front where you can sit out, dry and in the shade. We make it to measure on one oak or Douglas fir frame, with the roof carried over the veranda and everything joined with pegged mortise and tenon joints.

How deep a veranda

1.5 metres is enough for a couple of chairs. For a table for six, allow at least 3 metres. A corner veranda wrapping round two sides is possible too.

Classic or modern

Classic is usually oak with curved braces and often a pitched roof. Modern is black Douglas fir with a flat roof, see modern black veranda. More on verandas at wooden verandas made to measure.
