Steel door with side element
‘Well worth the effort’
We are very pleased with the steel door with side panel that we installed with a friend. We chose a Pivot steel door because it opens on both sides, which is ideal for our hallway. First, the side panel was secured to the wall, floor and ceiling. We then installed the door by drilling pivot hinges into the floor and ceiling. We used the shims supplied to raise the door slightly so that the horizontal beams are level throughout. We think the end result looks great. Smooth ordering and delivery; I would recommend everyone to place an order.

"We did the assembly ourselves"
We are not handymen, but by watching the video we did the assembly ourselves because we could not find a handyman. Actually, it wasn't difficult at all. Very satisfied with final result. Our steel door with frame was easy to screw into the existing situation. We drilled a few holes in the steel frame and screwed in screws. We added a spirit level and stuck in the glass with dabs of sealant. A simple system with luxurious results.

I remember our phone conversation very well. The whole team is delighted that you’ve achieved such a great result.

Steel door according to customer design
"Bespoke Steel Door: Custom design and a stunning bronze finish!"
"Since every doorway in our home is different, we needed a truly bespoke solution. This steel door is a testament to the flexibility Hardwood Discount offers. We requested a unique panel layout that wasn't part of their standard range, as well as a specific bronze colour finish. Neither was an issue for them. It’s brilliant to find a company that can produce a steel door exactly to a customer's own design. We are thrilled with the professional and tailored result!"

We’re known for our bespoke work. Whilst the quality of the coating and the identical finish on both sides do make us a bit more expensive, you certainly get what you pay for. This sort of renovation in your home must exude 100% luxury. We’ve managed to achieve that once again with you, and we’re proud of it!

Steel door with a side panel
"A great result, but the configuration takes time"
“As our door opening was too wide for a standard door on its own, we opted for a steel door with a side panel. This instantly gives the room more character and an open feel. In the online configurator, you can choose the compartment layout yourself; this works well in principle, but you have to pay close attention to what you click on to achieve the desired result. It’s a common configuration and the end result is certainly impressive, even if the assembly instructions for the side panel could have been a bit more detailed. The delivery time was extended by 10 (instead of 8) weeks, which we weren’t exactly thrilled about. But all in all, a solid and attractive product.”

We strive for perfection, but unfortunately not every order can always go 100% smoothly. We informed you in good time, but we also understand that delays are never welcome news. In your case, there was a problem with the glass over which we had no control. The photo you sent shows that it has turned out beautifully. All’s well that ends well.
