Steel door with side element
‘Well worth the effort’

We are very pleased with the steel door with side panel that we installed with a friend. We chose a Pivot steel door because it opens on both sides, which is ideal for our hallway. First, the side panel was secured to the wall, floor and ceiling. We then installed the door by drilling pivot hinges into the floor and ceiling. We used the shims supplied to raise the door slightly so that the horizontal beams are level throughout. We think the end result looks great. We are not handymen, but by watching the video we did the assembly ourselves because we could not find a handyman. Actually, it wasn't difficult at all. Very satisfied with final result. Our steel door with frame was easy to screw into the existing situation. We drilled a few holes in the steel frame and screwed in screws. We added a spirit level and stuck in the glass with dabs of sealant. A simple system with luxurious results.

The delivery time was extended by 10 (instead of 8) weeks, which we weren’t exactly thrilled about. But all in all, a solid and attractive product.”
