"The wood was beautiful, but I found the gap between the boards created by the clips too large. You have to press the clips firmly into the side of the board, which I found difficult to do. However, I called for advice and was told to use a ratchet strap to tension the boards. This worked and the result is lovely, but it was more work than I expected."

"When unpacking the order, I noticed that one board length was slightly wider than the other. I called and sent photos. The staff checked the warehouse, and it turned out there was a slight deviation in that batch. The boards were exchanged a few days later and it was resolved. Unfortunately, I had taken a day off work for the installation, so that was frustrating. It’s fixed now, but there should have been better quality control beforehand."

"The Ipé fencing timber is beautiful and the clips work perfectly. However, delivery was two days later than planned due to a mistake by the haulier. Fortunately, customer service kept me well informed and the result was worth the wait. The stability of the boards is incredible."

"The quality of the decking boards is fantastic, delivered perfectly straight. I was initially startled by the slight colour differences between the boards, but after advice from Hardwood Discount and applying the oil, it blended beautifully into a uniform look. A critical note: order plenty of oil, as you apply more than you think; I had to place a second order."

"As a keen DIYer, I chose the clip system. I felt the manual could have been a bit more detailed; I had to look closely at how to fix the first row and where to use the clips. Once I got going, it was plain sailing. The result without visible screw heads is much more attractive than a traditional deck."

"Ipé isn't cheap, and you can see that in the price. I hesitated at first, but now that the deck is installed by my pool, I can see the difference compared to cheaper wood species. The boards don't warp in the full sun. The inclusion of free clips was a nice bonus on the total amount, though it does require more frequent oiling due to the pool water."

"On arrival, a few boards were damaged by the haulier's forklift. It was a bit of a dampener on a Saturday morning. Sent a photo via WhatsApp immediately and new boards were dispatched on Monday. It was resolved quickly, though I would have preferred it to be right first time. The wood itself and the packaging looked good."
