"Simple fence installation, handy system" ⭐⭐⭐⭐★ 4,4/5 "I was dreading installing a fence myself, but thanks to the fencing calculator and the clip system, it was surprisingly simple. Digging the post holes was the hardest part, but not complicated – I did it together with my neighbour. Not a single screw is visible, which gives an extremely sleek look. The boards are straight and the clips fit perfectly into the groove. Make sure to always put a clip at the ends of every board. This was the most important instruction to keep the lines straight!" – Paul Hickey, Ealing Londen Hardwood discount We noticed you messaged us on WhatsApp for assembly tips before your delivery. It turned out great – brilliant, thanks!

"We wanted a modern fence that didn't look too 'closed in'. This Ipé slat fencing was the perfect solution for us. It creates a beautiful linear effect, and with the right spacing, we maintain our privacy without the garden feeling smaller. The hidden fixing system is the finishing touch. It made the installation very quick. The timber has a lovely uniform colour and feels incredibly solid. I can highly recommend this product to everyone."

"For our apartment on the banks of the river, we needed a deck that could withstand the intense sun and wind on the seventh floor. After consulting Hardwood Discount, we chose Ipé decking with the hidden clip system. The result is truly stunning; the invisible fixings give the balcony a modern, sleek hotel feel. Despite the exposure to the elements, the boards remain perfectly straight. We love enjoying the river views every day from our high-end hardwood deck. This is the result after applying the second coat of oil. PS: It's really handy that the boards aren't too long – they click together easily and fit into the lift without any trouble."

"The wood was beautiful, but I found the gap between the boards created by the clips too large. You have to press the clips firmly into the side of the board, which I found difficult to do. However, I called for advice and was told to use a ratchet strap to tension the boards. This worked and the result is lovely, but it was more work than I expected."

"When unpacking the order, I noticed that one board length was slightly wider than the other. I called and sent photos. The staff checked the warehouse, and it turned out there was a slight deviation in that batch. The boards were exchanged a few days later and it was resolved. Unfortunately, I had taken a day off work for the installation, so that was frustrating. It’s fixed now, but there should have been better quality control beforehand."

"The Ipé fencing timber is beautiful and the clips work perfectly. However, delivery was two days later than planned due to a mistake by the haulier. Fortunately, customer service kept me well informed and the result was worth the wait. The stability of the boards is incredible."

"The quality of the decking boards is fantastic, delivered perfectly straight. I was initially startled by the slight colour differences between the boards, but after advice from Hardwood Discount and applying the oil, it blended beautifully into a uniform look. A critical note: order plenty of oil, as you apply more than you think; I had to place a second order."

"As a keen DIYer, I chose the clip system. I felt the manual could have been a bit more detailed; I had to look closely at how to fix the first row and where to use the clips. Once I got going, it was plain sailing. The result without visible screw heads is much more attractive than a traditional deck."

"Ipé isn't cheap, and you can see that in the price. I hesitated at first, but now that the deck is installed by my pool, I can see the difference compared to cheaper wood species. The boards don't warp in the full sun. The inclusion of free clips was a nice bonus on the total amount, though it does require more frequent oiling due to the pool water."

"On arrival, a few boards were damaged by the haulier's forklift. It was a bit of a dampener on a Saturday morning. Sent a photo via WhatsApp immediately and new boards were dispatched on Monday. It was resolved quickly, though I would have preferred it to be right first time. The wood itself and the packaging looked good."

I chose the Ipé boards with tongue and groove all around, and it was the best decision. The end-matched connection made it very easy to lay in a random pattern without the ends lifting. Everything clicks together beautifully, and because I ensured the joints always land on a joist, the terrace feels as solid as an indoor floor. Not a screw in sight!
— Sander V.What a top-tier system. Because the boards interlock at the ends, I had almost zero waste. The offcut from one row became the start of the next. It takes some careful measuring to make sure the joint hits the joist perfectly, but once it's in place, nothing shifts. Ipé is incredibly hard, so pre-drilling is a must.
— Marc de J.Our deck looks like a luxury parquet floor. The tongue and groove on the short sides ensures the boards align perfectly. We laid them in a random pattern, and the clips are hidden neatly in the side grooves. Having the end joints resting firmly on the joists provides a very safe and stable feel when walking on it.
— Annelies T.Ipé is beautiful wood but very heavy. The click system on the ends works great for getting the boards perfectly straight. I set the joists at 40cm intervals so every end connection has full support. The random pattern result looks very natural and showcases the wood's colour variations perfectly.
