The Refit solution was perfect for us as the original concrete posts could stay in place! We simply clad the old fence with premium 9 cm wide hardwood boards. Following the expert's tip, we painted the posts and backboards black first, which creates a stunning modern depth behind the slats. All necessary materials were included in the kit. Our garden has had a complete high-end makeover!"
Ipé Slatted Wall for Garden Structure
"Easy mounting, stunning result" ⭐⭐⭐⭐★ 4,8/5 As you can see in the photos, we installed the boards from the bottom up to ensure the cleanest possible finish at the top of our structure. It worked out brilliantly. Installing from the bottom up is definitely doable. For the first section, however, it’s advisable to work in a team of three to fix the first two rows in one go. After that, it’s easy enough for two people. The tip to place clips at the butt joints (end connections) as well was worth its weight in gold! Otherwise, we wouldn’t have realised until halfway through or at the very end... and the lines wouldn’t have stayed as neat over time. For the best result, we lightly sanded the slats, wiped them down, and then treated them with hardwood oil. We opted for a dark oil, which gives the wood an even more beautiful and warmer colour. I ordered Ipe decking boards from Hardwood Discount. I attached these decking boards to my balcony with clips. My wife and I are happy with the result and can enjoy our balcony.
Planter Ipe 2.1 x 14.0 - with clips
A number of boards were damaged during transport. This was perfectly solved by Hardhout Discount. I received extra Ipe decking boards and was allowed to keep the damaged boards. I made a planter from this. This worked out well. I am very satisfied with the handling.
