Ipe is a very stable hardwood, and therefore suitable for all conceivable applications. Ipe is the best wood. That is why we have an extra wide range of this hardwood species. Ipe is brown and light brown in colour, has an even structure and a fine grain. This wood is wear-resistant, strong and will not work.

We sell this product per m2. Enter the number of m2 and we will deliver enough decking boards + free self-spacing connector clips and screws to make your project. The most common lengths are 0.90 - 1.20 - 1.50 - 1.80 m1. You get a mix of lengths to assemble your decking in wild settings. We supply a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 lengths. Because of the tongue and groove at the ends of the board, you don't have to end up exactly on a lower beam. The tongue and groove is strong enough to prevent bending. Installation is just as easy as laying laminate. Saw the last plank in a row to length, if it has a minimum length of 45 cm you can start the next row with this part.

We sell Ipe decking wood per square meter, and you can order the amount you need by selecting the length required. We will deliver enough decking boards, including self-spacing connector clips and screws, to complete your project. The tongue and groove design of the boards means that you don't have to place them precisely on lower beams, as the boards' structure is strong enough to prevent bending. Installing Ipe decking is as easy as laying laminate, and you can start the next row with any leftover pieces of at least 45 cm.

Each board features a tongue and groove end design, which we call the wood click system, making it easy to install lengthwise. The click system is comparable to laying laminate, and you don't have to place the plank ends directly on the support beams as the click system is strong enough to prevent bending between the lower beams. You can use any leftover pieces of at least 45 cm that can be fastened to at least two lower beams during the assembly. We supply enough wood to cover the square meters ordered, and we recommend wild-cornered installation, as shown in the photos, for the best results.

Ensure you clamp the boards at the end to prevent the click system from tearing apart if the boards can move, especially lengthwise. You can prevent this by screwing several screws obliquely into the groove at the end or fitting an edging around the decking. The hardwood decking should be well clamped on all sides to prevent natural deformation of the floorboards.

The deck fasteners, also called mounting clips, are slid into the side of the decking board, into the groove, and mounted under the surface of the decking on the substructure. This ensures that no screws are visible, and the clips also serve as spacers between the boards, creating a spacing of approximately 5 mm. The use of mounting clips provides great convenience and saves time during installation, making it quicker and easier to install hardwood decking. If you're using a traditional decking board that doesn't have a recess for a mounting clip, screws are screwed right through the board, and a countersink has to be drilled, leaving the screw head visible on the surface of the floorboard. The clips and screws are made of stainless steel metal and black coated, preventing rust or oxidation and ensuring a beautiful end result.

We supply enough wood to cover the ordered square meters, and you can choose which lengths are delivered. Wild-growth assembly is the most beautiful result, as shown in the photos. We recommend ordering approximately 10% more wood than needed, accounting for any sawing loss.

For a good foundation under the decking, hardwood support beams and foundation piles are necessary. We recommend spacing the lower beams at 45 cm and using three hardwood foundation piles for every square meter of decking. The foundation piles should be screwed to the lower beams to ensure the decking does not subside.
